“Annually, come Tabodwe (February), the eleventh month of the Burmese calendar, we celebrate htamane festival in all over Myanmar. Traditionally, three men have to make htamane. Fried coconut shavings, toasted sesame, roasted peanuts, ground-nut oil and fried ginger are added into the pot and mixed in with the dough. At the end of the process, Htamane is served on banana leaves that have been rubbed in oil that it safe to eat. Then, htamane is offered to Buddha and the rest is delivered to friends and families.”
This festival held at University of Computer Studies(Myeik), on 16th February 2024( 9:30 am). It aims to have friendship and collaboration among each other. Six groups from all courses competed in this activities.
Finalist, pro-rector and his member awarded 1st,2nd, 3rd and consolation prizes to winners.
